"Although our children are young, as a military family, we have moved and attended three Catholic schools! This many relocations can be difficult for children, but St. Rose-McCarthy made us feel loved and welcomed from the start. They greeted us as family. Our children have flourished in this academically enriching environment and we appreciate the school's focus on building a strong Catholic faith. We adore this school! It has been a true blessing in our lives."

"The education I received at St. Rose-McCarthy prepared me well for high school at San Joaquin Memorial, both in values and what is expected academically. One example was the school-wide learning expectations at St. Rose McCarthy; San Joaquin Memorial has similar standards.
It was a busy first year at San Joaquin Memorial. I made many new friends and great memories. I joined a few clubs and became a homeroom representative for my freshman class. As a student who enjoyed participating in school Mass on Fridays at St. Rose-McCarthy, I was happy to know that San Joaquin Memorial had monthly Masses. I have enjoyed singing and being a part of the SJM School Mass Band.
"I spent nine years in my plaid uniform and I would not trade my elementary education for anything in the world. I was not only exposed to the new beginnings of learning at McCarthy, but I was also able to explore my Catholic faith and grow closer to God with each school year. The teachers took a personal interest in me and my personal development. I graduated Salutatorian of my 8th grade class and went on to attend San Joaquin Memorial High School. After high school, I attended Santa Clara University. I was given the opportunity to be a student athlete and enjoy college and sports at the same time. I thank my parents for making the investment in me 23 years ago and choosing St. Rose-McCarthy for my elementary education. The foundation you receive at a young age molds you as an individual and also gives you the base you need to continue to excel in academics for many years to come."

"My sister, brother, and I all graduated from St. Rose-McCarthy. So did my three children. Being both an alumni and a parent allows me to have two perspectives of the school. The structure of faith, small classrooms, and family atmosphere helped me develop core values and grow closer to my faith. A faith that I rely on day in and day out. The fundamentals of education provided my children with a strong base and contributed to their success in college and their current careers. Both of my daughters have their masters degrees, and my son is currently serving his country in the Air Force and working on his bachelor’s degree. Parent involvement in fundraising activities provide an example to students of what hard work and teamwork can accomplish. The friendships that we developed working alongside other families will last a lifetime."
